Mac Stivers
Minister of Music

Our Minister of Music is Mac Stivers.  He earned his BS Degree from Georgetown College in Business Administration and Economics and worked in Kentucky State Government for over 33 years in the field of Education and Information Technology.

Mac has been involved in church music his whole life and received formal training throughout elementary and high school, as well as music education through private lessons in piano and music theory. He has also been involved in choir, band, orchestra and other musical endeavors throughout high school and college where he was a percussionist in the Georgetown College Symphonic Wind Ensemble and marching band.

Mac has served previously as Minister of Music at Midway Baptist Church for 12 years and Farmdale Baptist Church for 2 years.  He has a passion for music of all types and has been involved in the choir and music program here at Immanuel Baptist Church since becoming a member in January of 1984.

Mac’s passion is to lead everyone to utilize their God-given talents and to praise God through choral, instrumental, and congregational worship music in the church. He believes that, “Music is a soul-felt experience that reaches to the very core of one’s being, therefore how better can we serve God than by praising Him through song”.
