On Sunday, June, 11th, 2023, Emily Holladay accepted the congregation’s call to be its next Senior Pastor. She is currently the senior pastor of Village Baptist Church in Bowie, Maryland. Previously, Holladay has served as the Associate Pastor to Children and Families at Broadway Baptist in Louisville and a communications associate for the Cooperative Baptist fellowship among other ministerial positions. She received her Master of Divinity from McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently completing her Doctor of Ministry degree from Louisville Seminary.
Emily is married to Dr. Scott Rushing, a middle school teacher, and together they have a son named Franklin.
Dr. Chuck Queen is set to retire on Sunday, June 25th, 2023 after more than 20 years of faithful service at Immanuel. Reverend Holladay will assume the pulpit on August 13th, 2023.
