Children

At Immanuel Baptist Church, we believe that children should be:

seen…
heard…
and celebrated!

We believe children are a valued and vital part of our church family and we are intentional about including children in all areas of worship, ministry, and fellowship.

Children serve and lead at Immanuel during worship and through missions opportunities.

Adult leaders are actively involved in the spiritual nurture and care of our children during the time they are with us. Nursery is offered for children 0-3 years old during Sunday School and Sunday morning worship. We do our best to make the nursery available during special services and activities as well, unless otherwise noted.

Sunday School is available for children in pre-school through fifth grade, using the Shine: Living in God’s Light curriculum.

Children’s Church occurs each Sunday during worship.

Children ages 4 – 6th grade participate in worship until they are dismissed out the organ side doors in the sanctuary for Children’s Church. They will participate in Bible Story, crafts, games, and conversation with trusted adults.

Each month, we host children’s activities, such as Kid’s Night Out on the last Friday of the month and other times of fellowship and connection throughout the month.

All adults who serve with our children have a background check on file with this church and have received Child Safety Training.

Immanuel Baptist Church uses KidCheck

To enhance security and comfort when children attend IBC activities, we use the KidCheck platform.

Parents and guardians can expedite the check-in process by filling out a KidCheck profile for themselves and their children ahead of time. In addition to providing an extra layer of security, KidCheck allows care-givers to alert the church to relevant information, like health information/allergies and adding authorized pickup people.
