Immanuel Baptist

The Pastor Search Committee of Immanuel Baptist Church is very pleased to announce that we have identified the person we feel God has called to be our congregation’s next Senior Pastor. Your committee and the candidate have prayerfully sought God’s will and the guidance of the Spirit throughout this process. We are unanimous in our sense that God has called this candidate to IBC and IBC to this candidate.

For the present, we are not identifying the candidate. The candidate is presently a Senior Pastor at another Baptist church. We need to assure this sister church learns of the candidate’s plans to respond to God’s call from the candidate, not social media.

We are planning the following opportunities for you to learn about and meet the candidate.

JUNE 4 INFORMATION SESSION
(10:30-11:30 in the sanctuary)

On Sunday, June 4, there will be an abbreviated worship service to be followed by an Information Session. During this session we will disclose the identity of the candidate, provide information about the candidate’s family, education, and experience, as well as the details of the compensation package. This will be a time for you to learn and ask questions.

This Information Session will not be streamed Please plan to be present in person on June 4 for this important Information Session and learn why the Search Committee is so excited about this candidate and the future for IBC!

JUNE 9-11 SENIOR PASTOR CALL WEEKEND

The candidate will be at IBC to meet our congregation and preach in view of a call over the weekend of June 9-11. Here are the opportunities to meet and engage with the candidate and family, as well as hear the candidate preach.

Meet and Greet Session: Friday, June 9
4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Light refreshments provided
Drop in when it suits you to meet the candidate and family

The Gathering: Sunday, June 11
9:15 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

The Candidate will be preaching in view of a call

The Call: Immediately following the worship service on Sunday morning, June 11, there will be a Special Called Business Meeting to vote on the call of the candidate as the next Senior Pastor of IBC
