IBC is in the process of turning the “ice machine room” off of Fellowship Hall into a laundry center. As we work towards establishing a crisis women’s shelter in the church, having a way to do laundry will be vital to this ministry. We hope this will also provide another helpful resource for our Infant Resource Center and Warming/Cooling Center clients.
We have received a few donations to help seed this project, along with a discount from a reputable appliance company. In the coming weeks, the washer and dryer will be delivered and we will have hook-ups added to the designated space.
In order to get the laundry center fully operational, we will need to stock it with laundry supplies. The current donations also do not meet the entire need for the project, but we are taking a leap of faith to make this resource available for the families we serve. If you would like to donate to the laundry center, you can send cash or check to the church office, designated “laundry center.” Or you can give online and designate your gift to “Homeless Ministry-Weather” in the drop-down menu.
