As Partners in Development transitions to a model without Lonnie and Fran Turner’s leadership, we find that there is an immediate need to help fund student fees, including transportation, food, and accommodation needs. Partners in Development and the Turners have been supporting 18 secondary and primary students and 9 university students. In order to avoid a disruption in these students’ education, funds are needed by September 15 to meet the aforementioned expenses.
The immediate need is $9000 to cover the tuition and related costs for these 27 students for the upcoming term. These are students that Lonnie was paying for out of his pocket.
If you feel led to help in this continued support for Partners in Development, please get your donation to the church office as soon as possible. Our support will allow time for Partners in Development to continue supporting these students’ education while it develops a long term transition strategy. We will provide future updates as the transition continues and more decisions have been made about ongoing operations. Please help Partners in Development continue Fran and Lonnie’s dream for these children to remain in school.
